Individual support to carers

This is offered by Stroke Support Co-ordinators. Counselling and support is available for stroke affected people and their carers who wish to explore their difficulties and concerns.

Young stroke groups

For people of working age who have suffered a stroke and would like the opportunity to meet with others who are in a similar situation.

Stroke groups

Stroke Groups provide support, encouragement and understanding to those recovering from stroke. The opportunity to share experiences and recognise that others have had similar difficulties is a positive help in the process of adjusting to the future. Activities are very important for the Stroke Group afternoons, these include skittles - an ideal game to help with balance and co-ordination, cards dominoes, bingo, quizzes, talks, entertainment, outings and special lunches.
